A Day Off!

Maddison fell asleep writing!

Mackenzee was impatient to get there!

Sara and Mitchell riding in the way back.

Brent, on the phone with work.

Me, on the phone with work.

There was a good variety of kid rides.

Motorcycle Mamas!

"I like motorcycles!"

Look at 'em go!

Mackenzee got to drive the antique car.

Mitchell, hanging on for dear life up in the ferris wheel!

Mackenzee, on the ferris wheel.

Maddison and Mackenzee beg to ride this fast spinny thing with Papa and Mom. The girls loved it, Papa and Mom came away quite nauseous!

The splash park was very refreshing.

This was in the middle of the afternoon with no naps! Just before this, they were both dragging! Funny how a little water can revive!

In the tip of the boat is Maddison and her Papa.

This Frog Hopper was another favorite of the girls. They rode it so many times, that at the end, the guy just asked everyone, are you riding again? And just kept the ride going. Before that, every little girl got off, walked two feet to the in gate and got right back on.

Frog Hopper....ride number 38 on this one!

Sara and Brent on the big version of the "Frog Hopper!"

Click on this picture above to enlarge it. It is just priceless. The ride going up a million miles and hour caught them both by surprise as you can see on their faces!

All of us at a magic show.

Sara and Mitchell won tickets on the radio to Indiana Beach last week. How convenient that they had a planned vacation week this week. They had plans everyday to do things at Three Rivers Fest, the zoo, the Botanical Conservatory, etc., etc... The girls even participated in a big wheel race at one of the parks. So, they won the tickets and asked Brent and I to go. We both took Friday off and left early in the morning.

None of us had ever been to Indiana Beach and really had no idea what to expect. We had a very good time. It certainly isn't Cedar Point or Six Flags and certainly not Disney World! But it was still fun. Maddison absolutely LOVES fast, spinny rides. So not like her dad or grandma. It really worked out good...Sara and Brent rode the roller coasters over and over while Mitchell and I took the girls on safe rides! Well, we thought safer....we took them up on the ferris wheel. Did you know that those things sway precariously and that the whole wheel goes pretty darn fast? I made it and so did Mitchell, but I was so hoping, after the third fast time around, that it would be our turn pretty darn quick to get off!

The girls were too short to get into the water park, so I stayed at the "beach" part with the girls and Brent, Sara and Mitchell spent a few hours on the water slides and the tubing river.

We stayed until it closed and watched the fireworks. The girls were sound asleep in their car seats before we even put the van in reverse!

And my work cell phone only rang four times (while we were on the way there)! Brent's was a few more than that. So, we left them in the van! It was really a fun relaxing day with family.
