Mackenzee's Special Date

Mackenzee has been waiting an entire year for this! Ever since last year when Brent and I took Maddison on a "special date" to get a backpack and some school clothes and shoes. Back then, it was extremely rare that only one of the girls went anywhere with us alone. It affected Mackenzee a lot back then.


So...........Thursday after work I went and picked up Mackenzee then we headed over to Brent's work to hurry him up (it was, after all, past 5:00).

So we let Mackenzee decide what and where. She chose the mall....specifically, J.C. Penney's. Here, she's trying to decide which backpack she wanted.

And the winner was.....................ta da...................Hello Kitty!

She actually modeled all of her outfits for Brent (he couldn't go in the ladies dressing room with us).

My camera messed up after I took two pictures of the outfits (probably time for a new one!)



Then, it started working again. Here's Mackenzee with her loot. She so was trying to carry the bag, but it weighed more than she does! Yes, everything she chose was PINK! I told her she could choose anything, but she insisted on PINK! Even her new tennis shoes...white with a PINK Nike swoosh!

Here's Brent and Mackenzee afterwards. The empty pocket thing went above Mackenzee's head!

We let Mackenzee pick where we would have dinner. She chose the food court and her favorite Chick-fil-a chicken strips.

I can't believe Mackenzee is starting kindergarten. If you talk with her for any length of time, you would sure guess at least second grade!
